ArtRide West

You want art? We’ve got you covered. And it’s time for another ArtRide! Bike Winnipeg is continuing our partnership with the Winnipeg Arts Council’s Public Art Program on a series of tours showcasing many of the public art installations in the city.

Join us on a tour this summer and learn about the artwork you pass by every day… What is it made of? Why is it there? What does it mean? Some works are fun, colourful, and interactive, and some encourage quiet contemplation. Join us on an informative excursion and get to know the artwork that punctuates and brightens our city!

The August 24 tour will explore public art on the western side of Winnipeg. We will be meeting directly in front of Agassiz Ice by Gordon Reeve located on the north side of the Assiniboine River at Assiniboine Park (between Portage Avenue and the footbridge).
