Southwest Local Bike Group is teaming up with Bourkevale Community Centre for their regular Wednesday bike ride. The ride leaves at 7 pm each Wednesday from the community centre and explores the local community and biking infrastructure.

This is an all ages ride, and we will only pedal as fast as our slowest rider so no one gets left behind. 
 
Leaving from the Bourkevale Community Centre (100 Ferry Road) at 7 pm, we will head east on Assiniboine Ave to Wolseley Ave and catch the Empress Street Path north to St Matthews Ave and, after a quick jog east, and we’ll arrive at the Uptown Lanes where we’ll stop for ice cream. Along the way we’ll be able to talk about the upcoming extension of the Empress path and the lack of divided lanes available on St Matthews. The return will see us head west on St Matthews Ave to Berry Street, South on Berry via the boulevard bike path to Portage, and then we’re back in the Bourkevale neighborhood where we have slow streets back to the community centre.
