Proposed Change to Bike Winnipeg By-Law Re: Elections for Co-Chairs
The board will be considering the following resolution at our AGM on Thursday, April 12th, which will be moved by Bike Winnipeg Executive Committee:
WHEREAS; currently clause 2.11 in the Bike Winnipeg By-Laws states that Candidates for Co‐Chairs shall put their names forward together and shall be considered for election as a team at the Annual Meeting of the Organization as outlined in 3.03 herein.;
AND WHEREAS: There is no stated or known reason for setting apart the procedure for Co-Chairs of the organization;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that this clause be amended to state the following: The Board may designate the officers of Bike Winnipeg, appoint officers on an annual or more frequent basis. An Officer shall be a director of the organization. The officers of Bike Winnipeg shall include two Co-chairs, Secretary and Treasurer and other such officers as the Board of Directors may determine from time to time. The Board of Directors shall elect officers at a Board Meeting following the annual general meeting.
